9.5 Level-crossing
Level-crossings may have the following in addition to traffic signs:
Barrier of Half-Length Barrier
Barriers come down when traisn approach.
Crossing a level-crossing before the barrier is all the way up is not allowed.
It is not allowed to cross, pass underneath, or go around a lowered barrier or a barrier going up/down.
Warning bell
Warns with a sound about a train on level-crossing or approaching it.
Warning lights
When a level-crossing is clear, a white light flashes.
When crossing is forbidden, a red light is lit or flashing.
Before level-crossing
Reduce the speed well before the crossing and stop to verify the safety of the crossing.
Safety can be verified by looking in both directions (the train may come from either direction) and by listening carefully.
Cross promptly.
