13.1 Rules and responsibility
The vehicle in front has to be overtaken from the left.
However, when the vehicle in front is turning or clearly preparing to turn left, it has to be overtaken from the right.
Overtaking from the right is allowed if there are at least two traffic lanes in the same direction and vehicles are driving on adjacent lanes.
A bicycle or moped is allowed to overtake vehicles other than bicycles or mopeds on the right.
Trams have to be overtaken from the right.
A tram may, however, be overtaken on the left if the position of the rails requires this and it can be done without causing danger or disturbance.
Trams may also be overtaken from the left if on a one-way street and the traffic conditions allow it.
When confronting a properly marked roadwork vehicle on the road or the roadside, it may be overtaken as long as the situation is considered properly and the necessary precautions are taken.
